What does "Lock aspect ratio" do?

When this option is enabled, it ensures your image is not stretched or squashed. When you change the width, the height updates automatically to match the original ratio, and vice versa.

Will resizing affect image quality?

Resizing regenerates the pixels of the image, which can affect quality. Generally, downscaling has little visible impact, but enlarging an image significantly may reduce sharpness. Our tool uses a high-quality interpolation algorithm to minimize this effect as much as possible.

Will my original file be modified?

Your original file is never changed. What you download is a brand new, resized image file. All processing happens in your browser — we never see or store any of your images.

Which image formats are supported?

JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF and BMP are supported. After resizing, the output format stays the same as the original whenever possible; formats that cannot be output directly are converted to PNG for compatibility.
