PNG, JPG and WEBP are supported. For the best results, use clear, well-lit images with sharp text.

Why is the first recognition slow?

The first run downloads the language model from a CDN (~15MB for Chinese). Your browser caches it afterwards, so later runs are much faster.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. The recognition engine runs entirely inside your browser — your image files never leave your device.

How accurate is the recognition?

Accuracy is high for clear printed text and screenshots; handwriting or blurry images will be less reliable. Use clear, high-resolution images for best results.

Is there a file size limit?

There is no hard limit, but very large images significantly increase recognition time. We recommend images under 20MB.
