FAQ

What's the difference between this tool and AI cutout?
This tool uses chroma key background removal: pixels close to the selected color — judged by color similarity — are made transparent. It only works with solid or near-solid color backgrounds. For complex backgrounds like people or landscapes, please use an AI-powered cutout tool.
Which images work best?
White-background product photos, solid color ID photos, icons and logo assets work best. The more uniform the background color and the stronger the contrast with the subject, the cleaner the removal result.
What does the tolerance slider do?
Tolerance controls how "similar" a color must be to be removed: the higher the value, the more colors that differ from the selected background color are also removed. If the background has slight gradients, shadows or noise, try increasing the tolerance.
What if the background isn't pure white?
Click anywhere on the original image on the left to pick that color as the background color to remove. You can also enter a hex value directly (e.g. #F5F5F5) for precise targeting.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. All processing is done entirely in your browser — images are never sent over the internet or stored anywhere. Feel free to use it with confidence.
What format is the download? Are animated images supported?
The output is always PNG (JPG doesn't support transparent channels). Animated GIFs can be uploaded, but only the first frame is processed and a static PNG is exported.
